Last Night's Game - Timberwolves missing Love and Rubio

When I was watching last night's Timberwolves vs Warriors game, the Wolves were
playing well for a while, but then the energy of the Warriors and a team that wasn't depleted
with injuries caught up to the Wolves.  If Love and Rubio had played, the Wolves clearly
would have won the game.  The player rotation would have been different.  Ridenour would
have come off the bench and Williams, too.  This would have helped give the Wolves more
energy and a better flow.  Luckily, Love is coming back in the first week of December,
according to media reports.

Josh Howard - A Brand New Timberwolf

A couple days ago, the Timberwolves signed Josh Howard (Small Forward) to a one year veteran's minimum contract.  The Wolves have had their trouble keeping players healthy this season, with Rubio, Love, JJ Barea and Pekovic injured.  So the signing of Josh Howard should help the team with depth at Small Forward, with Andrei Kirilenko currently playing a lot of minutes at that spot.  Tonight, the Timberwolves play The Golden State Warriors.  Howard is expected to play, possibly 5 to 6 minutes in each half.

Josh Howard has been injured the last few years.  If he stays healthy, he will be a great addition to the Wolves, who are 5-3.  Once the Wolves get healthy, they should be a very dangerous team.  They are winning without their stars.  It should be exciting to see everything unfold.

First post and many more

Hi, my name is Jon Olson and this is my new blog.  It will focus on NBA basketball and more specifically, The Minnesota Timberwolves.

I have been an avid NBA basketball fan since the 1990/1991 NBA season.  The Bulls really turned me onto the NBA.  I will be writing a post at least once a week about my incites about the NBA.

My background has been Financial Services the last 14 years.  And before that experience, I was a Buyer at Best Buy in Wireless Services for a few years.  So my marketing experience relates, somehow, to writing about Pro Basketball - loosely.

I chose the title of my blog to be "The Spirit of Pro Basketball", because I really feel that following a subject like Pro Basketball has to be dynamic, fun and passionate.

I hope those who read my pro basketball incites, enjoys them.
